We write music to tell our stories, our music is full of energy and variety, and nothing if not heartfelt.
Notes
We have stories to tell, and we write songs to tell them. Shirts Vs. Skins is as much a family as it is a band, and the five of us come together to write music and try to express as best we can the experiences we've had, and the things we learn and feel as we grow up together. The closer one pays attention to what we have to say, the more our music will mean to them.
Though our music most easily fits into the broad categories of pop punk or pop rock, we go where the concepts behind each song take us. We begin with a story pulled straight from our lives (three different members of the band write lyrics), and paint a musical backdrop to the things we want to get off our chests. With influences ranging from blues and indie rock, to hardcore and punk, to dance music, there's something in our music for almost any listener.
