Notes
Warrior Poet is a European rock band, originally from Madrid (SP), formed in 2009 by vocalist Carlos Pavon, drummer Javi Martin and guitarist Dani Pereira.
In February 2010 Warrior Poet went to the studio in Italy (LC) for the recording of their first album “THE PROMISE” in Aemme Records Studios, produced by Pietro Foresti and mixed and Mastered in Los Angeles (California) by Salvatore Addeo, Sylvia Massy, Rich Veltrop and Joe Gastwirt (Red Hot Chilli Peppers, System of a Down, Pearl Jam...).
Scott Russo from the American rock band Unwritten Law joined the project singing a song with WP (“The Promise”).
In the summer of 2010 Warrior Poet signs with the Independent Record Label MALDITO RECORDS releasing “The Promise Feat. Scott Russo”, reaching #1 on FM Radio charts such as Peperadio (89.3 FM Madrid).
The album was a success in the nacional rock press such as Heavy rock, Kerrang!, or Rock Estatal, considering the album as “Brilliant”, “Passionate” or “Extraordinary”
October 29th 2010 the band put on a show with all the tickets sold out in Caracol (Madrid) and after the good press and public reception, WP were nominated to “Music News Television Awards” for “BEST ROCK ALBUM”, as well as “Premios De La Música” for “BEST ALTERNATIVE ROCK ALBUM"
Warrior Poet’s shared stage with bands such as Alter Bridge (USA,) Bonafide (Sweden), Vinila Von Bismark (Spain) or Gunshot (France).
In February 2012 Warrior Poet sign a distribution contract with the japanese label CD Design (G-Rock Records), in order to release "The Promise" in stores all over Japan and online. 16th May was the official launching date.
The album has been positioned #23 on the "MUST" list by Grindhouse Magazine (From Japan).
In April 2012 the band entered into the Sadman Studios of Madrid to record what it would be their second album "R-Evolution", which It has been mastering in West West Side Music Studios of NY by Alan Douches ( Him, Fall Out Boy, Mastodon...).
